Johnnie Lowery is a keen football fan, following England and Sutton United home and away. His most recent book, Match Fit, was shortlisted for the 2024 Charles Tyrwhitt Sports Book Awards. Match Fit was inspired by a desire to ensure mental health does not remain a taboo subject in society, based on Lowery’s own experience of mental health. His first book, Six Added Minutes, was written while he was at university and published in November 2019.
